Dear journal,
Today my freind Miranda Love was wearing a skirt in school today that was too short. She received a detetion. the rule in place is that the skirt or dresses must reach lower than the finger tips of the girl wearing it. this changes pretty regularly based on the girls thats one reason i feel this rule is completly out of touch and in need of immediate change. well, nothing brings change faster than protests. but how do i get peoples attention. i know ill wear a skirt to school! i will make sure it is too short and im positive that i wont get in trouble. if i wear a skirt that is too short and dont get in trouble that will show the school is weak and wont follow through with out of touch rules.

Dear journal,
Well, todays the big day, I borrowed my sisters old skirt I feel it suits me the best because its camoflauge. I tryed to convince my freinds to join me. none did i cant back out now people are already aware of this and i have to follow through. i cant beleive im doing this im wearing a skirt to school i hope the administration hears about this and calls me down to the office. i want this to be noticed so i have an opportunity to voice my opinion and have the appropriate audiance. well im off to school again i cant wait, and i cant beileve im saying this but i really want to get into trouble today. Rosa Parks broke the rules to try and change unjust rules...well im doing the same thing,on a smaller scale of course.

until next time,David

Dear journal,
Well this is the second time im writing in the journal today first was before school. now i just ran home to record this, i wore the skirt all day! im really pround of myself the only thing is that i didnt get called down to the office and none of the administration saw me. but teachers did and they thought it was a peaceful way to try and get something done. although i feel nothing will come of this im very satisfied because im happy to know that if i feel like i must do something i now know that i will be able to actually do it. mirandas detention is set for monday and she plans to go. im still upset that she has to go but i voiced my opinion in the most peaceful and i feel fun way. everyone got a good laugh out of it and thats a win in my book.

im on cloud nine, Dave

Dear journal,
Today all of the eighth grade was called in for a meeting. there has been many issues bith boys hitting eachother "below the belt" so the meeting was about how to stop this from countinuing. a new policy was put in place "the no touching policy" it said that no student was able to touch another. at all! this issue had to be adressed i dont feel this is the best way to go about it though. because it is a little extreme not to make any contact at all. people are already talking about how to go about getting rid of the rule with protests. i doubt anybody will follow through though. but, at any rate this will be an eventful week.

until something else comes up, David

Dear journal,
today the hysteria about not touching eachother intesifyed people are going out of their way to make sure they make no contact with anyone in fear of punishment. noone is really talking about protesting except for my freind Pat he said he has something up his sleeve. he didnt tell anyone what hes going to do and to tell you the truth i have no idea what hes going to do. Pat is sort of known for following his word so im pretty sure that hes going to do "it" what ever it may be. All i know is that i think im going to be right, this week is shaping up to be pretty eventful. i cant wait to see what Pat does!

I cant wait for my next update, David

Dear Journal,
Oh my gosh! today was great Pat never seises to amaze me. he duck taped his entire body. on top of that he wrote "please dont touch me" on the tape. he couldnt move at all he waldled into all his classes but by second period he was called down to the office. they made him remove the tape. after that he was questioned about his reather diffrent protest. when they called his parents his mom told the principle that she helped him tape himself! that shocked me, that might be the coolest thing ive ever heard that his mom helped him break the rules. thats cool but the best part is that his peaceful protest made in on the news. hes a tv star now. this will go down in East Shore history. to top off this incredable storie he wasnt even given any punishment! from the school or home that amazed me and the rule looks to be at the end of its rope only days after it was put in place.

until next time, Dave
